Boris Rusak

RusakRichmond - Boris Rusak, 86, died unexpectedly, January 18, 2022 at Maine General
Hospital in Augusta. He was born August 4, 1935 to Peter Rusak and Alexandra
(Noryk) Rusak in Novogrudok, Belarus.

After marrying his loving wife, Taisa, in 1966, the two settled in Richmond where
they raised their two children and he resided until his passing. This past spring the
two celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Boris was employed by the MDOT, Right of Way Division, as a real estate appraiser,
for over 30 years. He oversaw many road projects throughout the state, with his
most notable being the 1-295 highway development. Boris was socially curious and
held a gift of gab and loved to share his life and work stories with all he met.

His parents and an older brother, Leo, predeceased Boris. Surviving in addition to
his wife, Taisa (Grizkewitsch) Rusak are his son, George Rusak and wife Stacy of
Scarborough; daughter Irene Adams and husband Tim of Richmond; grandchildren,
Sam Rusak, Sydney Rusak and Nicholas Adams, Brother-in-law, Michail
Grizkewitsch Sr., and partner Gail Theberge, Sister-in-law, Ann Fabrizio and
husband Bob Sr. of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

A family funeral mass will be held at 11 am, January 20th at the St. Alexander Nevsky

Church in Richmond with a graveside burial service occurring in the spring.
