Togus- John Franklin Bixby Jr.,74, died at Togus Springs on 2/4/2022.

John was born in Richmond on June 10, 1947, the son of John F., Sr. & Harriett (Grover) Bixby.

What John enjoyed the most was sharing the gospel of Christ with others and reading his Bible.  He loved to preach it too. John also loved people and enjoyed socializing with everyone he came in contact with.  He was very thoughtful and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He lead his life with love and understood the concept of it deeply.  He was a devoted husband to his wife for 53 years and loved his children, their significant others, and their children. He especially loved being a grandfather. At one point he very much enjoyed playing his piano.

John was by predeceased by his mother Harriett Bixby, father John F Bixby, Sr., sisters Donna Rowe and Sylvia Ashby, as well as his brother Bobby McKee

He is survived by his beloved wife Susan Bixby, son John F. Bixby III, daughter Rebecca Martin and her husband Michael Martin, brother-in-law Lloyd Rowe and 4 grandsons Daniel Martin, Luke Martin, Gabriel Martin, and Jared Martin.

There will be no funeral service, but rather a burial in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, be loving to your fellow man because we all are fighting a battle, called life!
