Richmond-Josephine E. Merrill, 100, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at her home. 

She was born on December 20, 1918 in Dresden, Maine the daughter of Calvin and Ida James.

She was a member of the Richmond, Church of the Nazarene and the local senior group.

Josephine enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking car trips and making snacks for fellowship times at her church.

Her work history included a local shoe factory, the school hot lunch program and the school superintendent’s office.

Josephine was predeceased by her parents, 7 siblings, and husband Edmund.

She is survived by her sons, Carleton from Auburn, Roger from Richmond, and Timothy from Newburgh; 6 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation hours.  A graveside service will take place on Monday, the 5^th of August at 11 a.m. in Cotton Cemetery, Richmond.
