Richmond- Nancy (Hayes) Kane, age 75, formerly of Richmond passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Nancy was born on March 22, 1948, to John and Josephine Hayes on Long Island, NY. She worked for the Uniondale School District for over 25 years. She was active in the Uniondale Fire Department Auxiliary, supporting the department anyway she could. Nancy was happily married to Sylvester Kane for 46 years who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Thomas Kane and his wife, Lori, Kelly Grib and her husband Bud. She was a proud grandmother to three adoring grandchildren, Cassandra Kane, Patrick Kane and Kaitlyn Grib.  

Nancy adored and lived for her family above all else. She enjoyed visiting her family’s vacation home in the Pocono area of Pennsylvania with her husband and children (and later with her grandchildren). There she spent quality time with her family enjoying playing games, cooking delicious meals and watching the wildlife roaming the area.
