Huldah Donnelly

BATH — Huldah Barnes Peck Donnelly, 100, formerly of Port Jervis, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Hillhouse Assisted Living.

She was born Aug. 15, 1905, in Hornellsville, N.Y., a daughter of Herbert and Helen Kuebel Barnes. She graduated from Arkport High School and Geneseo Normal School. She taught for 20 years, primarily in Port Jervis schools.

She enjoyed participating in community drama theater, bowling, bridge, traveling, walking, audio books, listening to "Jeopardy!" and playing trivia.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Walter Chadwick Peck, who died in 1952, and Marcus E. Donnelly, who died in 1968.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith B. Peck Gray and her partner, Horace Wallace, of Bowdoinham; two sons, Peter B. Peck and his wife, Barbara, of Keuka Park, N.Y., and Stuart B. Peck and his wife, Jeanne Coplin Peck, of Brooktondale, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Her ashes will be scattered and memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
