Dale W. Cook

Litchfield-Dale W. Cook, 71, of Hallowell Rd. passed away on Monday, July 31, 2006 at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta.

He was born in Gardiner on February 15, 1935 the son of Linwood and Arline (Dale) Cook and attended local schools.

Dale started his working career as a mechanic for Dick Levitt of Gardiner, over 25 years for Bridge Construction of Windsor and finished his career as the Public Safety Dispatcher for Gardiner.

Dale was a longtime member of Morning Star Masonic Lodge #41 in Litchfield and the Litchfield Grange. He was a past member of the Litchfield Fire Department and past part time police officer Litchfield.

Dale enjoyed playing his guitar, riding horses and particularly his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother in-law James Connor. Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Marlene Cook of Litchfield, son’s Daniel Cook and his Fiancee’ Debora Collins of Wayne, Scott Cook of Texas, daughter Kathleen Hilchey and husband Fred of Litchfield, sister Joan Connor of Litchfield, brother Dana Cook and his wife Nancy of Litchfield, grandchildren Chassidy and Makayla Hilchey and Kelsey Collins.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, August 5th from 11am to 1pm at Kincer Funeral Home with a funeral services commencing at 1pm with Pastor Elizabeth Bachelder-Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Litchfield. A gathering will follow at the Morning Star Masonic Hall.
