Eunice Christina French Hill

Eunice Christina French Hill passed away on October 15, 2007 at Augusta Rehabilitation Center in Augusta, Maine surrounded by her family.

She was born in Somerville, Maine on May 23, 1917 the daughter of her predeceased parents, Byron Alton French and Lena (Larrabee) French. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Hill, her sisters and brothers: Ruby (French) Christian, Roy French, Herbert French, Mary (French) Wescott, Marjorie (French) Knox, Grace (French) Atwood, daughter Helen (Hill) Tabor, and son-in-law, Brian C. Lamoreau.

Her surviving sisters and brother are: Muriel (French) Pickering, Elsie (French) Snow-Doriety, Virginia (French) Wilcox and John French. She is survived by her sons: Merle French and wife Mary, James French and Nancy, David "Sam" French, and Thomas French, and her daughters: Judith French, Ellen (French) Lamoreau, and son-in-law, John Tabor. She is survived my numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She worked several years as a Nurses' Aide and enjoyed assisting in restoring patients to good health. She was very active member of the Somerville Church of God, and the Whitefield Full Gospel Fellowship. She facilitated her weekly family Bible Study held in her home for many years. She was active in The Head Start Program at the Somerville Elementary School.

Visitation will be held at the Somerville School Gymnasium on Nov. 2nd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A graveside ceremony will be officiated by Reverend David Grant at the Sand Hill Cemetery on Nov. 3rd at 11 a.m. All family and friends can gather, after the service, at the Somerville School Gym.
