Litchfield-George (Jim) Edward Lane, 57, passed away peacefully Monday, January 7, 2007 surrounded by family in his home in Litchfield.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Lane of Litchfield, his wife, Joyce Lane of Litchfield, a brother, W. Carlton Lane, Litchfield, 2 sisters - Shirley Summers of Willard, Utah, and Sylvia Morrill of Litchfield, his 4 children, Tracy, Christopher, Catherine, James, and their spouses, 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends in the community and from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He graduated from CMVTI, was in the National Guard, worked as a mechanic for the State of Maine and privately, a driver for Kennebec Journal, and a driver for Rocking T Farms. His passions in life were his family and his large collection of antique western toys.
Viewing hours will be held Thursday, January 10th at the LDS Chapel on Hasson Street in Farmingdale, ME from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. Funeral Services will follow at the same location at 4:00 pm. Reception to follow. Burial services to be held in the spring. Services will include a chance for anyone to come forward and speak of memories or stories of Jim (George).
