Lillian N. Newton

DRESDEN — Lillian N. Newton, 56, of Bogg Road died on Friday, June 20, 2008, after a long illness.

She was born in Brunswick on Aug. 26, 1951, the daughter of Clarence and Vera (Conley) Carter.

She enjoyed camping, watching horror movies, bird watching, watching SCI FI television and collecting Elvis memorabilia. She especially enjoyed time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, George Gage; and two nieces, Vera Carter and Nicole Carter.

Surviving are her mother, Vera Conley of Auburn; her husband of 41 years, Jack Newton of Dresden; four daughters, Candy Blair and her husband, Wayne, of Lewiston, Jackie Lobdell and her husband, Ron, of Kingfield, Sandy White and her husband, Chris, of Poland, and Ann D'Amico and her husband Ray of Clinton, Conn.; three brothers, Ray Carter and his wife, Katie, of Brunswick, Maynard Carter and his wife, Diane, of Poland, and Tommy Carter and his companion, Christine Richards, of Sabattus; three sisters, Patty Chickering and husband, Herb, of Poland, Missy Chabot and her husband, Bob, of Lewiston, Glenna Chickering and her husband, Tommy, of Auburn; 11 grandchildren, Wayne Blair, Mike Blair, Heather Blair, Amber Blair, Brandy Blair, Chris Lobdell, Ron Lobdell III, Nicolas Lobdell, Nathaniel Brayall, Lillian Brayall and Christopher White Jr.; three great-grandchildren; and several, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond, ME 04357, to defray funeral costs.
