BRUNSWICK — Michael Stuart Hamer died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, in Brunswick after a brief battle with cancer, bravely borne.
He was born on Aug 15, 1944, in Guildford, United Kingdom.
Mourning him are three daughters, Emily, Zaria and Rebecca Hamer; his wife and closest friend, Judith Hamer; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Ramos, Christine Kendal-Ward and Jaimie Kendal-Ward; his first wife, Susannah Cameron Crichon; family in the United Kingdom and the United States; colleagues associated with the Maine State Museum; and friends world wide.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Kincer Funeral Home in Richmond.
To salute and support his love for animals, the family requests donations be made to the S.P.C.A in lieu of flowers.e
