Brunswick-Stanley E. Merry, 72, of Woolwich, died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Bodwell Unit in Brunswick with his family by his side.

He was born on December 17, 1936 the son of Wilder Merry and Marguerite Drake.

He worked in the plumbing and heating business for many years, retiring in 2003.

He enjoyed caretaking for several home on his road and the people who always asked for his advice on many things. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Nellie Rose of Woolwich, son Stanley Jr., of Massachusetts, daughter Valerie of Phippsburg, stepson Andy of Woolwich, 3 stepdaughters Julie and her husband Bob of Woolwich, Holly and her husband Dean of Woolwich, Laurie of Wiscasset, eight grandchildren, Elliott, Cory, James, Ruthann, Justin, Jeremy, Devin, Jesse, sister Virginia Parlin of Augusta, several nieces and cousins.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 29th at 2pm at the Murphy’s Corner Cemetery, Woolwich.
