Ronald Eugene Cobb

June 4, 1953 - May 30, 2016

Ron was born in Mattoon, Illinois. After graduation from Mattoon High School in 1972, Ron
joined the Marine Corps. He did his training at Parris Island, then Camp LeJeune and was
stationed at Arlington, VA
. Ron passed peacefully with his family by his side at Togus VA
Community Living Center.

Ron had been married to Patricia Jo Cobb, for 43 adventurous years. Together they were
blessed with three children and two grandchildren: Kellie Jo Cobb
, Littleton, Colorado, married
to Chad Frizzell
. Troy A. Cobb, Portland, Maine, married to Lindsay Michaud Cobb, Trisha Jo
Cobb, Portland, Maine, grandson: Kayden
T. Frizzell and granddaughter, Kyra Jo Frizzell,
Littleton, Colorado
.

Ron is also survived by his mother, Delores Cobb, Mattoon, IL, brothers Michael Cobb, Littleton, CO, and
Jack Cobb, Charleston, IL
.

Ron was the proprietor of a successful school portrait company in Colorado before retiring to
Maine. He participated in a search for the notorious Oak Island treasure for several years. Ron's
love for adventure led him to flying and building experimental planes
. He loved flying down the
Kennebec river in his ultralight with a soaring eagle by his side enjoying the view from above.
The party started when Ron showed up, laughter and good times always
.

He was devoted to his family and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
