BOWDOINHAM - Gary William Lothridge was born on January 7th, 1949 and passed away on May 7th, 2018, with his family at his side.

Gary loved to be at camp on Knights Pond, surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed sitting on his rocking chair with a cup of coffee, admiring nature. Although occasionally would be caught “meditating” or “looking at the back of his eyelids”. Furthermore Gary had a passion for astronomy, history, and science and loved to share his vast knowledge with anyone. Gary was remarkably generous, and donated to various charities his entire life.

Gary served our country in the United States Air Force for four years, the Air National Guard for eight years, and was a member of the Richmond American Legion Post 132. He retired from Bath Iron Works as an Electrician with over 30 years of service.

He is predeceased by his mother and father Clifford (Toot) and Laura Daniels Lothridge, and older brother David. He is survived by his brother Stanford Lothridge of Bowdoinham, his sister Gayle Savage of Bowdoinham, his sister/cribbage partner Lauralei Collier of Sidney, and David’s wife Karen Gray Lothridge of Richmond.

Gary is also survived by multiple generations of his nieces and nephews, that he loved so much. Uncle Gary, as he was known, could always be counted on for late night games of Monopoly, teaching you to drive a stick shift, or staying up all night playing video games. He will be remembered as less of an Uncle, but more as a friend for so many.

Gary, our brother, our uncle and our friend, has moved onto the next phase of life and will be dearly missed by the many he impacted. Graveside services will be held at Litchfield Plans Cemetery on Friday, May 11th, 2018, at 11am.
