Sharon J. Carver

pic Carver Sharon2Sharon J Carver of Richmond, ME died March 14, 2020 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL due to complications after a surgery.

Sharon was born in  Gardiner, ME on June 6, 1945 to Walter Foster and Virginia Stratton Foster of Richmond, ME where she was raised.

Sharon worked at Etonic Shoe Factor for 40 plus years and retired from the factory. On June 6, 1975 Sharon married the love of her life Sherwood G Carver,  they traveled together and lived a wonderful life.  They were married for 33 happy years before he died in 2008. Some of her greatest moments were spending time with her granddaughters Kristin & Ashley on the weekends  in Maine while they were growing up. She also enjoyed long lunches and talks with Granddaughter  Brandi  in Florida.

After Sherwood passed, Sharon became a snow bird and spent six months in Jacksonville, Fl with her most treasured daughters Joline and Joanne. She loved to dance and go out to eat. She also loved doing puzzles and coloring. Her Favorite thing was going to bingo with her best friend and sister-in law Carol Carver, who recently passed.  

Sharon was predeased by her father and mother Walter Foster and Virginia Stratton Foster, her brothers Kenneth Foster, Roland Foster,  baby sister Nadine and Husband Sherwood G Carver.

She is survived by her daughters,  Joline G McDonough and Joanne K Spencer of Jacksonville, FL.  She had three beautiful granddaughters Kristin  Robar and Husband Charles, Ashley Khadar,  Brandi Long and husband Brinton.  She also had nine awesome great grandbabies in order of birth,  Braeden McDonald, Aniyah Holmes, Blake Ballasso, Carter Holmes, Kerrigan Long, Ryker Long, Daxx Robar, Vaughan Robar and Lincoln Long.

Due to the Covid virus and restrictions there was a delay in the celebration of life for Sharon.  There will be a graveside service held at the Cotton Cemetery in Richmond ,ME  on August 1, 2021at 11 am,  for family and friends.
