Dresden-Merle M. Cray 76, of the Lincoln Rd., passed away after a long illness on June 23, 2022 at Maine General Medical Center, Augusta.

He was born on March 11, 1946 in Richmond the son of Wesley and Nettie Cray.

Merle was a self-employed truck driver for over 40 years.

He enjoyed boating, heavy equipment, logging, the outdoors and his dogs.

Predeceased by his parents, sisters Phyllis Chapman, Gloria Kenney, brothers Wesley Cray Jr., and Albert Cray.

Merle is survived by his wife of 21 years Joyce Cray of Dresden, daughter Laurie Carver and husband Bruce, sister Pauline Beasley, grandchildren Brittni Guerrette, Bruce Carver Jr., and Benjamin Carver, all of Richmond, great grandchildren Easton, Isaac, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
