Dylan James Rines, 24, of Richmond, Maine, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Born in Lewiston, Maine in 2002 to William Rines Jr and Kimberly Dupuis, Dylan was a big little brother to his older sister, Briana Rines. He was a loving father to his beautiful 3 year old daughter, Penny, and a good friend to many. Dylan attended Monmouth Schools as well as Oak Hill High School. Dylan had worked hard but played harder. Always the fun loving, big hearted man with dance moves and mechanical skills. He loved turning wrenches on his diesel truck, thinking outside the box to make it run and doing burnouts with it after. He enjoyed flying his RC airplanes, playing video games, swimming and spending time with his friends and family. Taken from us way too soon, Dylan will be forever missed and forever loved by so many.
Dylan is survived by his father, William Rines Jr of Richmond, his mother Kimberly Dupuis of Wales, his big sister Briana Rines and her fiance Karter Carney of Auburn, his daughter Penny and her mother Shelly Sawtell of Bridgton, his grandfather Hank Dupuis Jr of Lisbon and his fiance Helene Curran of Sabattus, his great grandmother Lorraine Poirier of Sabattus, his Aunt Jelina Rines and her fiance Kevin Gagnon of Lewiston, several cousins and extended family, and lots of great buddies that will all miss him terribly. Dylan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents William Rines Sr and Kathy Rines of Monmouth, and his maternal grandmother Donna Dumont of Auburn.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 1st at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Main St, Richmond, Maine, at 4:00 pm with a service at 5:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of this young man. The family would love your presence and to maybe even hear your favorite Dylan story as we share in the love we all have for him.
