Richard "Rick" Wilson

Gardiner-Richard "Rick" Lloyd Wilson, 78, of the Capen Rd., passed away on June 5, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Augusta on February 7, 1948 the son of Fred and Myrtle Wilson.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an electrician.  He later owned and operated Ozark Carpet cleaning business for over 22 years.

He grew up on a farm in North Augusta.  Rick was a self taught musician playing rock, country rock and gospel in many area bands.  Rick's hobbies were his music, camping, fishing and gardening.  
Rick was a very proud, sincere and loving man.

Rick was predeceased by his parents, brothers David and Kenneth, sisters Carol Wilson, Lois Rocque, and a daughter Victoria Ward. He is survived by his wife Brenda Wilson of Gardiner, brother Don Wilson of Windsor, son Ricky Brown and significant other Keri Haskell of Augusta, daughters Marie and husband Derek Robertshaw of Arkansas, Deb and husband Peter Sevee of Yarmouth, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on September 11th at noon at the Maine Veterans Cemetery 143 Blue Star Ave., Augusta.
